This is an address book that once belonged to Bernard (Bernie) Essen Hokom. Hokom joined the LAPD in 1942 and retired in 1964 at the rank of Lieutenant. I found it on eBay. It offers a great deal of insight into the inner workings of the LAPD in the mid-1900s.
